| I am in charge of the trip planning again this year around MLK weekend. I was thinking about staying in Manistique the first night when we get UP there. First day would be to ride east around Drummond island area. Stay near there the second night. Take a ride up to Sault ste. Marie and staythere the third day, then head back to Manistique to head home. Any suggestions, tips, or other information would be appriciated. Thanks!

| Last year we stayed two nights in Newberry and rode in that area. The trails were great! Very smooth, scenic. I am just wondering about going further east and what kind of things we may want to make sure we see, do, stay, eat. Do you have any favorites in that area? Looking for neat places to stay, great places to stop for a bite to eat, trails that we want to make sure we ride, things like that. I do have a map so I can try to get a feel for the area. Thanks.

| Rode the ice to Mackinaw Island last year{first time}and its real different looking in white,BUT you have to walk quite a ways to get to Arch Rock and you have to walk even further to get to the top of the Island{the old fort on top}.They have alot of Those places OFF LIMITS{saved for the X-country skiers}.I wouldn't go back.We rode everyplace you could and hit a bar in town for 1 drink & munchies and made it back to St Ignace in 2 1/2 hours.Nice to look around once but alot of other trails on the mainland that needed Xploring.Oh,took pictures in front of the Grand Hotel-couldn't get near that place in the summer without Paying $10.00. Also,Smoothest ice bridge ever-100mph back to St.Ignace. Lot of cold and Snow up there last year!!!
