Nice Job Trbomax.Thats the area we call base camp, and I love an unbiased report-when your out there doin it-you can call it like it is!We mainly ride during the week and you guys do a great job of removing the speed bumps fer us retired guys.A Sunday nite heads-up for the week ahead would be a big help fer us "Weekers"Too.Thanks!!

Thanks for the vote of confidence. Sun nite report is a tough one because I dont ride on week ends, and I dont (usually) groom on sundays.I DO always do the monday and tuesday groom.I always go clockwise these days,so if you are starting on the bear from the hideaway and go south on the east loop, you will run up on me.I try to get out around 0800,but that doesnt always work.Just keep in mind that it takes 7 hrs to get around it in the jd on mondays. The worst part of the trail is from the hideaway south to the frederic cutoff, and I usually hit that point before noon.I'll se what I can do with a sunday report though.

Thats it ,right there you told us whats up in the area and the way you make your run so we can plan our ride and kinda stay outa your way at the same time.Just hope this warm-up comin doesn't mean an end to it.Still got a few Ya-Ya's to kick out. Then, on to the golf and fishin fer da summer!! Thanks Again!

P.S. used to do alot of ATV ing in da summer, but the trails are so bumpy and dusty that my back and sinuses can't take it anymore-might use it to go somewhere out- but just can't raise dust like I used to.

As a side note,we (JVTC) are currently negotiating a grooming agreement for the blue bear during the summer, for atv use.

Whats on the table is 4 grooms total.June, july, august would be paid out of orv funds, november w/ snowmobile money. The november groom has been done for a few years now on a lot of sled trails, but its called"gradeing".We will have to do some modifying on our grader drag to do it.

trbomax, not related to summer grooming, but I know you have the pulse of whats going on in that area. I read in MSA magazine about 2 proposed trail by the JVTC. One was to connect the Blue Bear to Kalkaska, the other one they didn't specify. Any word on how that connection would run or about the other proposed route? Thanks for your dedication. park-oaks

there is a trail from antrim to kaski in the works.Leases, routes, are finalized, but it cant happen for another year. The other is a trail to Bellaire,a couple routes have been worked on,but there are a lot of private property issues yet to be resolved.
