Wow!  We rode from Prudenville ->Grayling -> Gaylord-> Indian River-> (stayed the night at Brentwood lodging and what a great place) -> Cheybogan -> Black lake -> Millersburg -> Atlanta -> Lewisburg-> Grayling -> Houghton Lake -> Prudenville.

425 miles in 2 days

Broke down in Indian River and Burt Lake Ski-doo was awesome.  We didn't have the correct tools and they let us borrow some.  Those folks were great.  My buddy had a bolt fall out of his rear shock.

Pull start broke in Houghton Lake and I'm lucky SpicerBoat city let me in the parking lot.  I pulled off the rewind starter and notice that plastic engager broke.  Cost me $12 bucks.  I asked to borrow a few tools that they told me to take a hike.  Then I asked if they could take 10 minutes and do it. I had the starter in my hand.  They wanted $50.00 bucks. We ended up towing the sled and when I got back to base camp I fixed in 10 minutes.  This jerk at Spicers said it would take him 15 minutes.  I said isn't that a labor rate of $200.00 an hour then.  He said, "We are here to make money".  He was trying to gouge a stranded snowmobiler.  I'll never buy anything from Spicers again.

Overall the trip was Great.  Best experience was Indian River, Mi.  Brentwood lodging, The brown trout, and Burt Lake Ski-doo was awesome.

Special Thanks to Roscommon County 911.  Got lost after 17 hours of riding and they GPS tracked my phone and told me exactly were I was.

Why the heck did you tow it? Did'nt you know you can wrap a rope around the clutch and pull start it that way?

Sure wish we had that rope.  We tried using the tow strap we had but it was impossible.  My next sled will have electric start.  I almost cut the rewind start cord and use that since I need to rebuild the starter anyways but I decided not too. I think we were 15 miles from base camp.  That was before we missed the turn and got lost in the woods.
