You have to hit "browse" when your writing a message in the lower section of writing a message. If your image is big wait for it to upload, internet connections uploading are not as good as downloading. If your still on dialup internet connection uploading images of over 1mb is not recommended. Broadband like cable and DSL connections should try to keep messages below 2Mb.
You can find out the size of your image bye right clicking on the image and going to "properties" you should see the size on that window. If its over 2,000Kb or 2Mb you should think about resizing the image.
The problem with most cameras these days is they write about 4Mb images in high resolution. 4Mb is allot to upload to the internet as a image. The steps bellow should guide you in the right direfction to get your images up on the internet.
Here is a link to free software that works amazing. Its like a photoshop software but its free, and simple.
http://www.getpaint.net/ <---install this
-Open the program
-Open your image using the program
-From the Menus choose the re size option.
-Save it to your computer to a place you will find it.
- Read GOOD instrucstions with pictures here
http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/en/ImageMenu.html
You will want to make your images 800x600 72 dpi Under 1mb will work best for anyone trying to upload more then 1.
Another option is uploading your images to - These photo sharing sites usally have good upload tools for larger images and they also auto re size them for you. They all give you some code that you can copy and past your image to another site.

Maybe some other people can recommend some good free image upload sites.
You can read detailed instructions here.
