If I ride at a normal pace I've gotten 110 miles out of both my mxz 440 & 800.
Drasticly reduced if we ride hard, 60 to a tank.
My new 4 stroke gets 120 riding hard, I love it!!

I can get 150 miles to a tank, and still have some left. Getting about 18 MPG on all three of my 4 strokes Attachment: RX1 002.jpg (Downloaded 32 times)

| My wifes 06 Ski Doo 500 SS GTX (597cc, 110HP)gets over 18+ on smooth 35-45mph trail rides. I ride it and it gets 12mpg It has carbs. I'm bigger and "blip" the throttle, where as, so don't, at all. Her machine can match or better my 07 Polaris 600 CFI Switchback injected motor (125HP) So much has to do with how its ridden and keeping it in tune, which amounts to plugs, good oil and keep it all ajusted right. | Here is a list of our sleds, 93 Phazer II 136" track, 2000 700 SXR, 2001 600 Vmax dlx. and 2002 700 Viper. I know on the first 3 sleds all will run 150 miles per tank. The Phazer gets the best milage of all, next is the 700 and finally the 600. not sure how well the Viper will do. We ride with other who have 4 strokes, they really don't get any better milage. Milage can very alot between machines. Alot can gained in clutching differences. Allan

| No pipes on any, I learned my lesson over 20 years ago, Keep em stock and they will run. I used to pipe and port the engines, run pyrometer gauges to keep an eye on jetting. I never used to be able to get on and run 200 to 250 miles a day and not have to worry. Now I just change the belt and plugs once a year and good to go. The Viper is my son's. I hope it still gets fair milage. Al

| X2, I keep'em stock to, reason being, my dad had a viper a couple years ago, he piped it, man did it run awesome, but gas mileage was horrible, so he put it back to stock, unless he was drag racing at starvation lake. I also put tein pipes on my 600 vamx, with a bender clutch kit, oil injection kit (carb intake), I got so sick and tired of working on it.
