Message to all snowmobilers who ride local West Michigan Trails

The West Shore Snowmobile Council (WSSC), currently consists of seven snowmobile clubs from Muskegon, Fruitport, Newaygo, Twin Lake, Hart, Hesperia, and other surrounding areas.  Each club sponsors a section(s) of trail that they maintain.  Grooming is provided by the council, which consists of individuals from the clubs.  It is these individuals that maintain the trails, not the DNR.
The East Muskegon Sno-Busters is one of your local snowmobile clubs.  Tom Ryder is  president, Scott King  Vice President, and Mark Ploegstra is Treasurer.  Our trail report  can be found on
http://www.sledtheweb.com done by Bob Gedert, a club member.  We are members of the West Shore Snowmobile Council and  responsible for volunteering our time to maintain  our local trail from the Red Barn on Apple Ave. to Bridgeton.  Our local club memberships are down significantly and sections of our local trail are at risk of closing.
Club membership is down across the State, and has been for some time.  This is especially true here in West Michigan.  Only a handful of members are actively involved with upkeep of the trail network and WE NEED YOUR HELP!  Times are tough and the economy is bad, but if you want to keep our trails open in West Michigan, please join a club and get involved.

We hope to see you soon!
