I have to use starting fluid to start my 550 super sport sled after it has been sitting for a long time. After I get it started it will start on the first pull.. Is this a common problem, any tips on how to correct the problem?

Ant tips on what to check?

that is pretty comon to any snowmobile that has set for along time especialy if it has carbs. I would not be to concerned if i where you. where do you spay the starting fluid at. I always pull the plugs and clean them first. then I pull the motor over about 6 times. that helps prime the fuel pump also. a little bit of ethier in each hole but not to much and replace plugs. that has been common for all the sleds i have owned after they sat for the off season.
