| We were riding just north of vanderbilt and came across an accident. Though it appears that accessive speed was a large factor, We also found that about 15 yards before the site of the accident there was a large pile of hard packed snow that looks like it was left by the groomer. Does anyone know which organization is actually grooming that trail? I've read that it was contracted by the Gaylord trail association. Be careful out there!

THE DNR say they are grooming the Gaylord trails. If you call what they do grooming.

| we stayed in gaylord for 4 days. the trails were the worst in 4 years. DNR stands for DoNotRgroom. we rode on the trails for only 5 miles each day because they were so bad, good thing for pipe lines and 2 tracks.

| On the Weekends,we've found that the closer you get to Grayling or Gaylord or any of the bigger cities,the worse they are.If ya keep goin Out they keep gettin better-small towns don't really make that much difference,AND it makes a Big difference if the groomer is doin a good job-We saw one go by that was hardly touchin the trail with his blades and it was still actually quite bumpy behind him,and there was a good base that he could have cut into atleast a little.He coulda been falling asleep and maybe we shoulda gone back and woke him up as they've been bustin their butts this Dec. with all the snow we've had.

Crap. My son and I will be up in the Gaylord area this weekend. We're staying in Pellston and may have to just ride up that way on trail #7 & 717.

| before the club who was grooming was investagated wrongly the trails in gaylord were good and outside of gaylord were great. it seems the DoNotgRoom people have nothing better to do the meddle till it gets screwed up.

| Be careful around Alanson. There is very little snow and some swampy conditions going from town to Indian River. Indian River Trails have been very good so far this season. Have a great ride!

| Atlanta to Lewiston was pretty good this past weekend too. A little icy in the corners, but the rest was pretty good. They could do a little bit more signing in that area though (just MY opinion...used to the U.P.).

Just got back and the trails in the Alanson/Indian River area were great. Trail to Mackinaw City were good too. The trails however in the Gaylord area were crap. Not totally unrideable but very close. Unfortunately my wife's 2007 Panther broke down on Trail 9 between Cheybogon and Mackinaw. Thank goodness I had a tow strap. Thoughts are something went terribly wrong in the chain case. I guess it happens but with only 600 miles on it, not happy and probably will think seriously about trading it in now. We'll see. Weather was great and we had a ball. Hope to be back in Feb.
