| Thanks to all the groomers for a great weekend of riding. Played hookey from work Friday because we couldn't wait another day, drove up in the middle of a storm but it was well worth it. Was wondering if anyone had info on any poker runs this year. My husband is really wanting to do that this year but when we asked around no one knew of any thus far.

| To answer the question at hand, yes I do support the increase. It needs to be done. It has been done. This could have had a "CANADA OUTCOME" where it would end up costing us well over $100 per sled before we even head out to the trails.

| If signed by the gov. then the permits will be $35 for the 2010 and 2011 season. For a list of where to by the preprinted trail permits (the ones that stick) go to http://www.msasnow.org and on the left side menue you can click and bring up a list of every vendor. there are vendors in IL, IN, OH, and WI besides MI

Out of staters pay more for permits? I don't think so. I'm from Ohio and pay my yearly fees for that one or two trips a year that I have time for. I spend my share to the Michigan economy when up there to pay my way trust me.
Raise prices and watch out of staters go elsewhere.

Good work, spelling is great. Take some criticism when you deserve it and you did. Aren't you tired like me of illiteracy, piss poor grades of children, and listening to people butcher our language? How bout "axe me a question", that kills me.
Sure this forum isn't the place for this but that writing was just plain lazy. Sorry I brought it up and sorry for the criticism. Let's move on............

Its a Fact today that State & Local Government is unable and/or unwilling to fund a number of worth while causes and loves to tangle a pretty good size web of red tape to hopefully keep the masses satisfied. I caution MSA in its attempt to satisfy the Kings and Queens of Red Tape in Lansing by volunteering License and Permit fee increases. I can assure you that you will not satisfy their appetites for tax and spend agendas. I know other jurisdictions have higher License and Permit fees and with and easy going attitude you are sure to join em. I am told that without constant rate increases the result will be bumpy trails, well I hate to tell you, that even with season 2010/2011 increase in the trail permit to $45 you will eventually be on bumpy trails anyway. The current financial mess that Michigan is in is simply because state residents insist on re-electing career failed politicians. Want smooth trails, a better economy? Start insisting on better leaders, go to the polls and cast your vote for a new canidate of your choice, that you have checked out and has shown that he or she is a capable leader not just another hog troughfer that deals with problems by taxing you. That has not worked, will not work, and most of all will not build you better snowmobile trails either. Or just suck it up and keep following the mis-guided advice and pay more, and more, and more, after all its only money and its needed, they say. Remember they would never lie to you, Corn Planter Can You Swim?
