I am looking to get my dog into a canoe this year. I think he will be fine with it but you never know. I think I will try it close to shore shallow first.
MQT, Marquette? If so I fish and ATV that area a few times every year. I like lake Michigamme for walleye!

Yes, Marquette. I have fished Lake Michigamme, but its a little big for my canoe, I was on my friends pontoon boat, but it was such a windy day we had a hard time controlling it! I like topwater casting better than trolling, but I'll do anything if I can get out to fish!! 
Have fun getting that big 'ol dog in a canoe...if he'll sit still I suppose it would work, but I can see Timber hopping around putting his feet on the side, lol.

| He does sit still on the ATV and in the boat, just sleeps in the trucks back seat on long rides. He has been one of the mellowest dogs I have been around. He fell out of the boat trying to get a drink off the back his first time out 2 years ago and seems to be very careful since then. He is still very leery around the water.
