I own an e-tec outboard motor and in 4 years it has been perfect, ultra-low emission, good fuel economy, and lighter than 4 strokes, simple maintenence. It seems like the ideal snowmobile engine. Can any skidoo e-tec riders let me know their experience with the motor?

You are right that the e-Tec motor is a perfect choice for snowmobiles.  It has all the same attributes as your outboard e-Tec:  Low oil consumption, good fuel economy, it's quiet, has lower emissions than regular two-stroke engines (which also means less smell) and it's the easiest-starting snowmobile I've ever owned.  It starts with one pull, every time.  My experience is based on riding the Ski-Doo Renegade 600 e-Tec.

We've gotten a great amount of positive feedback from other riders with e-Tec enginges, so my guess is you will read similar postings from people (who aren't in the business of selling them) that will support our findings.

If you're considering a new snowmobile with the e-Tec motor we have some 2009 models available with close-out pricing.  There is an e-Tec model in our Showroom that you can come and check out as well.

Thanks for the question, and let us know if we can be of any further help!

I have a 2009 600 E-TEC TNT, good mileage, oil consumption, and quiet idle, starts first pull everytime, if you like the smell of the exhaust in your trailer you will be disappointed, there is virtually none.

It handles like a dream. Reverse is nice to have also.
