I've had this boat since 03 and have had it in some nasty weather. I love the IFS package. The fishing top is tall enough for me to stand in and stay out of the weather while I troll. It's small enough to pull around and hit most any inland lake but also does well in the big water. I just put a new 150 Honda on last season, replacing the 130 Honda. I run a stainless 4 blad 19' pitch prop and get about 45 top end, GPS. If your a lund owner I would recomend going four blade. Much better control and I can tilt the engine to the half-way mark for better speed without Cavatation. I named the boat after my last best friend Slammer, a yellow lab. My new best friend Shadow, a black lab, will be two and just learning to fish with me. He fell out his first time a year ago. Anyway, for me and the dog with one seat in the boat it is just the right size.

Does Shadow like the taste of pike slime? I let my dogs take a sniff and sometimes a tentative lick of my catches. My lab Dixie sometimes gets annoying wanting to go out after my cast. She sees the splash and wants to go bring it back. Funny.

My last dog Slammer wouldn't bother with the pike, he only got excited when he smelled walleye. Over the years I only kept walleye and threw most else back. I would give him the bellie meat when I cleaned them. It didn't take long for him to learn what to smell for. He would stand on the bow head down and run back to the rods on the side he found them. He was good to 30 foot down. Best fish finder I ever had!

Shadow is just starting out but my guess is he will catch on when he starts getting fish to eat.

Beautiful boat! What is the device mounted on the short stand next to the trolling motor?
