We are interested in making a trip to Michigan next spring/summer to fish for smallmouth bass. We have never been to Michigan to fish and would appreaciate any info on where to start our trip plans. We would be coming from Kentucky and will be bringing our own bass boats. We would probably spend a week on this trip including the travel time. We need any info that can be provided which will make our trip planning easier and our fishing more successful obviously. Would be open to suggestions including destinations, lodging, season opening for smallmouth, etc. Our group will probably include 4 to 6 fishermen.
Have just started to work on a plan, and would appreaciate any help you can provide. We are somewhat reluctant to go onto any of the Great Lakes, so inland lake info is preferred. We would be open to hiring a guide to get us started.
