| Hi, I was wondering if anybody had any pictures or information on the progress at the cheboygan dam. I saw it a couple months ago while snowmobiling and have not seen it since then.

 Looks like they are still working on it right now. I will try a get a photo next time through. Steelhead just starting, Dave G

The cheboygan newspaper had a article telling what they were going to do but I cant find it online anymore. The reason for the project was to rebuild the dam( the boards were starting to rot ) and fix the washout underneath the dam. While they are at it they are somehow making it more fisher friendly( I think more lights, easier places to fish and even making it handicap accessible ). They are also making a new lamprey trap. This is just what i have heard from other sights and read in a couple newspaper articles.
I just hope they dont mess up the fish cycle. I fish there a lot and am use to how it was before
