Does anyone know what this season will be? I keep hereing of a mild winter :( But I personaly belive that we will have a good season of riding, maybe not as good as last season. As the looks of it the weather is cooling down and snow will be flying in no time! please comment with your thoughts and information. P.S   Thank you fishweb for your weather and trail reports

I have no Crystal ball and neither does anyone else. I know there will be some areas to ride next week. After that God only knows.

I think we are going to see a big change in the weather starting tonight through the next two weeks.  I also think we will get the big snows forecasted and we will be off to a great start to the season!!!  Everyone do their snow dances!!!

Well,:D The Wooly Bully catapillers are all over the place with their predictions.I've seen em with alot of brown down to almost No brown....Sooo....If their that mixed up I think our weather might be the same unfortunately-cold to warm-Alot to nothin on Preciptation.I personally like alot of snow in the Winter along with a Good Freeze that stays in the ground until spring.Summer time bake me with heat and sunshine and stick me with a fork and roll me over occasionally-Oh,and a few Beers to keep me Hydrated.Anybody Hear what the Farmers Almanac has to Say???  The Sleds polished and pointed at the door.

Farmers almanac said long very cold winter with lots of snow.  Complete opposite of what most weather guys are saying.  There are a few weather guys still saying we should have a good winter.  I guess we wait and see and do lots of snow dancing!!!

Petoskey had about 10" powder, no good to ride on. I awoke to another 8 inches this morning, 5:30am. Wind shiftrd to the west and we are getting more right now, LES. The most snow in the lower is on the Moosejaw Trail 1 to over 2 foot.  If we get the storm next Wed we should be good to go next weekend. The groomers need to pan the snow before riders knock it off. Even with a foot a LES it's light and fluffy and you will still be hitting dirt until it's packed.

Cadillac 6-7 inches not ready yet.

Dave, have you heard anything about the trail closing just south of Maxwell rd in petoskey?  I heard the ole guy that owned it passed away, and the new owner will not reopen it, any news on this?
