| We are in the planning stages of hosting our first ever grass drag event in Shipshewana, IN on Wed December 30, 2009. Last year we hosted our first ever Ice Festival and it was a HUGE success! We decided to add some new events to the Shipshewana Ice Festival and have decided to have a Snowmobile Grass Drag event. I can't wait! The response we have gotten so far is incredible. So here is what I need....suggestions, etc that will make this event worthwhile for everyone that is coming. Do we need an official timer? Do we use straw bales or snow fencing between spectators and participants? How much should our prize money be? Since we are only 6 miles from Michigan...and most of our town guests come from MI, i decided to post here. Thanks for the help!

| Yes this could end up being a disaster if you dont express loudly about the rules and regulations of the classes that can race in what classes. And if there is cash payback in the mod classes, a timer is definately a must, unless you list this race as a test and tune race. I know a guy here that puts on sanctioned grass drags, i can ask him when he is free.
