We are planning a trip around the UP but trail 2 stops at Rapid River. Does anyone know if there is a way to get down to trail 2 south of Gladstone.

January 09 edition of Michigan Snowmobiler, Page 24 5th column from the left. It starts with " Heading East a bit
There's a locally used route on how to get from Rapid River to Gladstone or Esky. Says the bridge is out crossing the Whitefish River in Rapid River.
Good Luck. I plan on going thru that area next week.

| Just came from Newberry south to trail 2 and all the way back to Iron Mountain. The trail stops at a park & ride near Rapid River. There is a way to get to trail 2 by Escanaba. Here is what we did. We rode into Rapid River, got gas, and headed south on main street. We got on the ice and took it all the way to Escanaba. Got off at a boat launch (19th street). Followed that west, crossed hwy 2 by Super 8 motel and went south from there on a bike path. When you get to the tracks, turn right and that is trail 2. Hop0e this helps.
