A friend and I are driving up to Grayling and renting some sleds in a few days. I haven't ridden in a few years and spent most of my time further north off the trails when I was.
We're looking for a solid day's worth of riding and I was thinking of either heading for Charlevoix via #4 trail or heading for Mackinaw via the #7. I don't know either area very well but have heard the Jordan Valley is a nice ride.
Can anyone recommend one of these trips over the other. How about a place to stop for lunch and dinner along the way? Any other suggestions?
Thanks

| Jordan valley is a very nice ride, mackinaw is to, but if you go to mack, make sure u avoid alanson, unless your into roads, and bumpy trails, make sure you go the other way.

| There are tons of restaurants along trail 7. You will have no trouble getting food, fuel, or anything else along that route.

| Jordan Valley is a beautiful area.Just try to stay out away from Grayling or Gaylord cause in our experience the closer you get to the bigger cities the Worse the trails get.Just 5 miles out from Grayling the trails get much nicer and the Blue Bear area west of there is a Really nice area with some small towns for gas and food.Runnin north from there is an excellent ride up to the Valley.
